From
L Street and 77th Avenue in Omaha (the stoplight by Runza), go south to
the stop sign at Seymour Street. Turn right and go 3 blocks to 79th
Street. Enter at the back door of the school toward the end of the
parking lot.
The Scandinavian dance before each contra concentrates on "bygdedans."
"Bygdedans" refers to the oldest surviving folk dances
from Scandinavia, some surviving in unbroken tradition from the Middle
Ages to today.
Scandinavian happens from 6:30-7:30 p.m.; contra dance starts
at 7:30 with live music by Rivertown String Band and friends!
